Imperial Russian marks, but I think they are faked.

My family is from Russia though and its been in the family I believe since pre world war II

Can you show better close up images of the marks ? My conclusion was based on what I have seen in your images; assay office letter cannot be seen, kokoshnik head blurry, 84 distorted.

This is not Russian official silver. Most likely, it was made by Russian emigrants after the revolution in China (Harbin, Shanghai).

Thank you all for your help I think you are right that it isn't genuine Russian marks. I can get a slightly better picture where you can see a blurry assay office letter but it and the head are definitely not as sharp as the sample images on the site.

Well... It turned out to be solid! 87% silver.
