You’ll uncover the riveting history and bright future of Wentworth Pewter with Director, Richard Abdy. From the making of the company – founded in Sheffield in 1949 – to the pewter making processes of Wentworth’s signature tankards, tableware and trophies, that are enjoyed by customers around the globe, you’ll enjoy Richard’s first-hand insight into this family company that shines brightly for Sheffield’s industrial scene.

Richard Abdy, Director joined Wentworth Pewter in 1996, but he’s supported the family business since he was a youngster. He is a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Pewterers, Freeman of the Company of Cutlers of Hallamshire, and Chair of Association of British Pewter Craftsmen. Richard is passionate about supporting the metalwork and design industry as well as championing Sheffield’s heritage in manufacturing.
