Help with mark on pocket knife

Post by Moons4jen »

I’ve been given a family jewelry box with items from WW1 era to WW2 era. This pocket knife is marked Sterling. The blades are marked J.A. Henckels. Next to the mark is a stamped number(2051). Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Hi,
It definitively looks like fasces (a bundle of rods with a projecting axe blade) mark of William B. Kerr & Co.
See here:

They are well known for Art Nouveau silver.
Regards

Number 2051 is not relevant at all: could be internal production, inventory or pattern number.

THANK YOU! I didn’t even know how to describe the mark...let alone figure out which company was responsible. That’s definitely it!
