FRIEDMAN SILVER Co.


A topic for recording information regarding the Friedman Silver Co. of Brooklyn, New York.

Established in 1908 by Joseph Friedman, the company was acquired by Gorham in 1960.

Joseph Friedman Metal Ware, Inc., New York, has been incorporated with a capital of $300,000 by Joseph Friedman, 79 Crosby Street, and associates, to manufacture nickel products and other metal goods.

Joseph Friedman Metal Ware, Inc., has moved its business from 79 Crosby St., this city, to a specially constructed factory building at 1226 Flushing Ave., Brooklyn. The new building is a four-story structure with a floor space of 72,000 square feet. The various floors are divided into departments and on the fourth floor, the concern will manufacture hollow silverware.

NEW YORK

Word was received in this city last week that Joseph A. Gorman, salesman for the Friedman Silver Co., 366 Fifth Ave., passed away in Allentown, Pa. Mr. Gorman had been with the Friedman concern since Jan. 1, and previous to that was connected with other silver houses in the industry.
