1740's Moscow Silver Beaker

Post by legrandmogol »

I recently picked up this pretty little Russian beaker with a slightly blurred Moscow mark where I can only read the 174 but not the last number. I also don't know who the maker or assayer is.

Moscow, 1747 or 1748. "AK"- Anisim Kuzmin. I do not know the exact name of the silversmith "ЕВ". This is just a guess: at that time the silversmith Yagan Ertman Vorlits was working in Moscow. His initials could be "EВ".
