Schulz & Fisher "FARALONE" Soup Ladle

Post by Daddy1947 »

I just acquired a magnificent soup ladle by Schulz & Fisher in their "FARALONE" pattern. It is 13 1/4" in length.
Obviously I am not asking for identification but do have a question.
I wondered about the name Faralone and its origin. So I looked up the word and found that there are islands
just off the coast of San Francisco by the name of Farallon. Perhaps one of our astute readers may have an
idea whether Schulz & Fisher drew some sort of connection in naming that pattern?

This article from Four-Track News Vol 6, No 1 January 1904 leads me to believe that you are possibly right on track. Image
