Spoon from the 18t century or pseudo marks?

Post by Vantlicht »

It looks like this is an old spoon, but I am not sure. Could also be pseudomarks.
Can somebody help me with this one? Would be nice if we can find out who makes it. Thanks!

Indeed Dutch pseudo marks. According the Red Citroen Valse Zilvermerken in Nederland.
Crowned H above dot, pseudo year letter #129, seen on spoons, used by silversmiths in Groningen en Schoonhoven.
Q in round shield, pseudo year letter #295, seen on spoons, used by silversmiths in Friesland and Groningen.
HS in monogram/conjoined, pseudo maker's mark # 145, used by silversmiths in Groningen.
Made around turn of the 19th century-early 20th century
See pseudo marks used in Groningen, Douwe de Jong could be the maker of your spoon but.....
