Just hoping someone might know something about the design of this ashtray. It could be a one off thing and nothing more or mid century and modernist, but if anyone knows something about the design or the designer, I would be interested to hear about it. Not sure it is right side up. Thank you in advance.

Your copper ashtray has what appears to be a pre-Columbian motif in the style of Graziella Laffi designs. She was a Peruvian designer of Italian descent, called the “William Spratling of Peru.”
Searches on this forum and Google would show you some of her designs for comparison.
In any case, I’d say the ashtray is from Peru, produced mid-20th C for the tourist trade.
