I am new to this group so hopefully I am doing this correctly.
I am researching the interesting world of Masonic watch fobs and pendants and I am particularly interested in the "Ball and Cross" fobs from the late 19th century through to the 1970's. These items when folded up look like a ball or a cube that, when unfolded form a cross comprised of six four sided pyramids which Masonic symbols engraved on on the surface of the pyramids. Most of the earlier examples I have seen have no hallmarks but are claimed to be 9ct gold exterior and silver interiors. Some later examples have hallmarks such as J.H.W - John Henry Wynn, but newer ones that look nearly the same as JHW are marked M.A.M and despite all my efforts I have not been able to find anything on MAM or some other Sponsor Marks. I have searched this forum quite a bit and done a considerable amount of research on this topic, so I am not coming here unprepared.
Other very interesting masonic fobs open and fold out in the shapes of 3, 4 and 5-sided pyramids and other unique designs.
I would appreciate any information or suggestions from forum members.
