Band Identification

Post by vadrums »

Hi,
I have a nice heavy (900 grams) Sterling bracelet I got from a pawn shop in Philly 5 years ago. I have looked on the site for maker and country with no luck. Looking for any identification. Thanks!!

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

It's a strange combination of marks that I've only seen once before. Apparently they are Egyptian, but accompanied by the 'Tugra' mark, normally associated with Turkish pieces.

An Egyptian jeweller with a Turkish royal warrant? A Turkish made piece imported into Egypt? Only guesswork I'm afraid.

Hopefully someone better acquainted with Middle Eastern marks can provide more information on this interesting set of marks.
