Can you solve the mystery of these pieces?

Post by wejudeII »

I have acquired this from my mom ~ who doesn't remember where/when she got it.... Oh, she says ~~ a number of years ago...YIKES - that doesn't help.... I have looked on all the hallmark bases and on the Internet and still am having no luck.... Can you please help give me a clue as to where it might have been made and when? Thanks so much.....

Hello, this piece is from Italy. The 557 is the registered maker's number - sorry, no clue - the VI is the Italian region where the maker has it's workshop. The piece is just a couple of decades old. Best wishes, Bahner

I believe the VI stands for the Italion province of Vicenza.
Here's a list of the provinces in Italy.
