I bought this candlestick today in the fleemarket.
I think this is from Iran.
Can anyone confirm (or deny) this and identify the maker?

This could be كاويان Kavian or possibly كاوياني Kaviani

Kavian is a small town in Iran - an unlikely hub of silversmithing - but both words can be family names. It is more likely the name of the smith although I have not come across the name before in connection with Iranian silver.
