F. L. Davis & Bro.

There appears to be a stylized lion hallmark on the reverse upper right center of the bowl; a sytlized fleur-de-lis perpendicular to that on the reverse of the bowl; the words "Pat. 1871" just below the fleur-de-lis and on the upper rim of the handle; and the word "STERLING" opposite on the lower rim; "F.L.Davis & Bro" in the middle of the handle. I have not been able to find anything about this maker.

Davis is only the retailer, have a look at the Whiting marks on the site, they are a possibility as manufacturer.
