Sterling salt spoon

This has a cluster of grapes hanging from grave leaves on the handle; a grape leaf on the back of the bowl, the letter "D" (on the bowl end) perpendicular to the word "STERLING", which narrows from the bowl end toward the left-center. Is this American and who is "D"?[/img]
