Very Difficult

Postby nigel le sueur » Thu Jul 19, 2007 4:34 am

This is makers mark from a pair of right angled sugar tongs c1770, the reason it is in such poor condition is owing to a "repair" to the tongs
My own thoughts are John Lambe, any other ideas are more then welcome

It quite looks like this one of Lambe's without the pellet. Is it possible to clean it up a bit more Nigel?

Miles

l am not sure how to clean it up more, l have tried cotton buds and polish with a toothbrush, but it appears to be flux from the solder, if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Yes Miles it does appear to be Lambe without the pellet, possibly his first missing one ?
