Tiffany Cup

I have the following cup with marks:

From what I can tell from the Online Page, this cup dates in the range "C"
1854 - 1869 under J.C. Moore & Son, mfg. by Grosjean & Woodward.

How can I tell if what I have is for real? Are there many fakes out there?

Sorry 'bout that, Tom.

One thing I didn't photograph is the name Carlton which
is engraved on the right side of the cup (relative to my
picture I provided). Is this a Christening Cup?

Hi,
Sure, a christening mug is reasonable assumption. They were commonly given as a traditional christening gift, usually by a godparent, although they were also given as presentations and prizes for other occasions.
