help, please ARG 1000 huge bowl

Hi there. I have this giant bowl, I am incredibly certain its sterling. Only marked ARGxx1000 (not sure, what the x's are). I did use a loupe, it does read 1000 although far away, it doesnt look it. Looks like ARGio 1000. This bowls is huge. Has a strange 3d fruits center portion. hand wrought handles. edge looks similar to other central american silver pieces i have seen.

i tried to no avail to learn more. any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much!
