Sterling OWL shaker English Unkown T.H. maker and duty marks

Hello, I have an old silver owl 1900-1905 Foreign silver with a lion but it has a T.H. in a diamond and I can not find this anywhere. it also has many marks on the bottom I can not find. any help would be great.

Hello,

Your piece was imported in London in 1902 by this T.H. Silversmith I cannot trace. Looking at the other hallmarks it could be french but I would not bet on it. Best Regards. Myriam

It is most likely a German piece from Hanau. Use the search function to search the forum for - Hanau - , you'll find plenty of posts on the subject.

Hello, Tom You are right, this is a piece from Hanau. Maker is Karl Kurz from Kesselstadt (part of Hanau). The "K K K " in a leaf is his mark. Best wishes, Bahner
