Maker's mark on mechanical pencial

Can anyone identify this maker's mark on a telescoping mechanical pencil?

Can't see the mark very well, so this is only a possibility.
Edward Todd & Company, New York City. They became known as Edward Todd & Company around 1871. Not sure, but I think they went out of business around the time of the Great Depression.
