Tired of me yet?? I hope not...

Postby SusanWhite » Sat Mar 17, 2007 4:31 pm

Buenos Dias!

If I try to write this in Spanish, I'm sure it might lead to a lot of laughs and absolutely no furtherance of knowledge!

We have some cocktail forks with a mark I just can't identify ... as usual ... I've got a great shot of it, but it just looks like a jumble to me.

I am running out of original ways to say how much I appreciate everyone's help, so I'll go back to scratch and just say Thank You!

Sincerely,
Susan

That might be the crown & cross mark of the Manchester Silver Company, Providence, Rhode Island.

Dear Patrick,

Your ability to read something wrongly oriented is a real talent!! :0)

Here's a shot of the mark with the correct orientation, if anyone else wants to see a photo of it.

Thank you so much!

Sincerely,
Susan

Dear Emaliek,

Again, thank you for this additional information on the pattern. I thought it was repousse and didn't realize that it would be called something else!

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with me. :0)

Sincerely,
Susan
