Hello, that is the mark of Ernst Hecker from the city of Aue, Germany. Used before 1918. Hecker was founded in 1886 and active well into the 1930ies. The "1/4" is for the amount that would fit into this cream jug: a quarter of a liter. The "G" is for "inside gilt" (probabaly worn off now). Best wishes, Bahner
