1924 Unusual London Silver Medallion

Postby sjb001 » Tue Mar 06, 2007 10:48 am

I have recently purchased a medallion which is made in two pieces, on the obverse it has a 5 pronged crown sitting on a triangle which is surrounded by a ring. If I prise it apart the medallion it has piece of red glass positioned in the centre behind the triangle and crown.

On the reverse its plain and hallmarked London, a 1924 date letter and the following makers mark - GK & S

Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure about this. The GK&S mark might stand for George Kenning & Son, London.

Regards,
Pat.
