Confused by hallmark date and engraving date

I believe this trophy plinth is hallmarked for London 1925 but the engraving for RAF leading aircraftman Mason is dated 1921.
Am I misinterpreting the hallmarks or is the trophy "postdated" by 4 years?
Any ideas?

Yes, that's definitely a 1925 "k". Maybe this is a replacement for a lost original.
