Object: Small letter opener. Deco or Modernist style handle. Marked Denmark Sterling to one side. Second mark is a “Dotted Oval” containing letters “GI” from incuse punch work. Could this be an alternate small mark for the Georg Jensen firm? There would likely not be enough space to use the larger known stamps. If correct attribution, can we match the design to other production from the shop.

Got the object identity….George Jensen Item #303 at 6 1/4”, design #9 by Sigvard Bernadotte in 1938. But is this round version of a smallmark on record as an alternate to the 1933-44 oval? (And the blade here does not carry the Jensen Stainless stamp.)

“Bernadotte” style continued in useage as a silverplate pattern under Royal Copenhagen control at least through 1986 as per Trev’s postings here: https://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopi ... te#p191154

Looks like Mark #3 was used well beyond the (approximated?) 1925 cutoff year: https://www.925-1000.com/jensen_marks.html
