Help Identifying Mark....

Post by nikka0202 »

Hello,
This mark was thought to be that of David Bessmann, Augsburg, Germany, mid 17th c. but it does not seem to match.
Any help or expertise is appreciated!
Kind Regards,
Victoria

Hi Victoria,
Who came up with that?

If you would like the best expert's answer to the hallmarks, please photograph the master's mark. There probably won't be much left to see, but please do your best. Perhaps fragments of the letters IES will be discernible.

Hi Amena,
I realize that I posted incorrect measurements (Apologies!).
The correct sizes are:
knife is 8.5"l, the fork 8"l

Thank you!

I can not see the images yet, but I will say You, what I know about this hallmark.

Your hallmark is double struck, but it is identical to this one.

Are these two marks both on the fork? It's twice 13 for 13 lots (13/16 = 812,5/1000)
