British Silver with a Flower City Mark

Postby ceriwells » Tue Feb 20, 2007 4:15 pm

Thank you for your attention, I have taken photos of the hallmark and item but am in difficulty finding how to upload them. I have a Blue John Silver Small Box, makers mark RTW, but city mark is a flower??, then the silver british lion followed by year B.

Maybe that's the mark Sheffield started using in 1975.

Would agree the mark is highly likely to be the Sheffield Rose,as Blue John is / was mined about 15km from Sheffield
