Hello Can Someone help indentify this mark?

I believe that's one of many silverplate marks used by Martin, Hall & Company, Sheffield, England. In 1854 Roberts & Hall joined forces with Martin & Naylor to form Martin, Hall & Company. After the First World War business declined and the company went bankrupt in 1936.

I am trying to get this Coffee set appraised but the appraiser does not think its a Martin and Hull mark, I am not saying your wrong but I would like to find a more definite answer. there are some other marks scratched in "=/L=/-" there are 3 dash's after the "L" but could not add it here and another "L:/-/-" above this scratching there is another I can't make out. Also the number "5" scratched in at 2 different places don't know if this is of any help.

These silverplate marks are difficult, especially when the letters are in script. Also, most companies used many different silverplate marks throughout their history.

Martin, Hall & Company is just my opinion. I'm not 100% sure.

Your appraiser might not be familiar with all the marks they used. Here's the ones listed in my books:

Many times the drawings of marks differ slightly from the real mark. Just found a picture of the Martin, Hall & Company mark in one of my books. Maybe you can compare this to your mark and decide for yourself.
