CANDLE STICKS OR FLUTED VASE? ANY INFO!

Hi! This is my first post here & I'm hoping for ANY info on this pair of (what I thought were) Candle Sticks, but (maybe) Fluted Vases.
They belonged to my g'mother, which I was told by my mother, had been a wedding present sent from England by her family sometime in the late 1920's.
They are 16cm high, the bases are 6cm wide & the fluted tops are 7cm wide as pics show. I would guess they are Silver Plated by what I see in the base markings but know nothing else .. my mother was the collector, I've just ended up with lots of 'stuff'.
I hope the pics are clear enough & that someone may have info on them.

.. * sorry, can't seem to load photos here ..

These are Electro-Plated Britannia Metal vases by James Deakin & Sons Ltd. of Sheffield.

Hi, Trev .. thank you for letting me know! They seem a bit 'roughly' stamped on the bases & do not have any other hallmarks on them other than those shown on the bases. Would there be a reason for this? Is the age in the correct period of late '20's as I was told?
Thank you in advance.
Dianne.

Hi Dianne,

No hallmarks will be found, they are only applied to precious metals, not plated wares.

Any roughness may be possibly due to exposure to extreme heat. Britannia metal has a fairly low melting point.

20's/30's sounds like a reasonable timeframe.
