Need help for winged dragon/unicorn mark.

Hello, My name is Janel, I am new to this sight. I am a long time fan of silver, especially antique. This is a clam shaped dish w/ a winged dragon on top and unidentified marks on bottom. One is a unicorn in a crest, one is worn down, the other is a symbol. I do not know if it is silverplate or sterling. I hope it is OK to polish it with my "Wright's Silver Cream".??? Any comments there? I am posting pics before polishing. If you can help, I'd greatly appreciate it!
