Sterling Necklace mark EDE 925 Who????

Hello everyone! I am a newbie here and would like to enlist your help in trying to identify a maker of this lovely necklace. The original clasp has been replaced with one of those tacky magnetic clasps, but the necklace looks to me to be quite old.
I am not exactly certain, but I suspect American or possible Mexican origins. ANy help you can offer , I would be eternally gratefull for.

I believe that's Native American jewelry, possibly Navajo.
Sorry, don't know who used the EDE mark.
