Antique pocket watch with possible German silver case

Post by Silverhound1628 »

I obtained this pocket watch a few years ago and always assumed the case was Swiss. The more I have looked into it, though, I don't believe there are actually any Swiss marks on it. The mark I am having trouble identity is the "angel" head. I can't seem to find any info on it. The "argent 800" and the crown/crescent moon are pretty common, but has anyone ever seen the winged-head mark before?

It is Swiss; they often marked cases with silver marks of foreign countries (export).
One can find German crescent and crown, Russian 84 etc. Capital ``A`` on chain is for Vienna assay office.Cannot help with the maker.
