Mark 1: Initials [MAB]/ Mark 2: (Crowned Head) City/ Mark 3: (Tri-Crown) National Mark/ Mark 4: (S) Standard/ Mark 5: Date (U3, U6, or U8)

Date number is badly rubbed, but clearly enough to be one of these three....U8 seems most likely, so 1946 era.

MAB stands for Matsilver AB. Mat=food and AB=aktiebolaget=limited company. Not sure if it's U8 though. Based on your picture it could be E8. But anyway it think that 1930's-1940's is the correct time period.

Too bad this one didn't come with its' fishy ship mate! [Two laughing cats.] The photos suck, but it is definitely a "U" seen by tweaking to an oblique angle & louping. At least we can add this one to the marks files with the big red "Solved" stamp. Beats being stuck with a dead trout.

Yes the fork is missing but it isn't particularly a fish server. It is a rather common general server (with the fork).

The item is a typical Scandinavian cake slicer, not for fish. If you google the swedish words "antik tårtspade" or "antik tårtkniv" you will find many like it, both silver and plated.
