A HG&S 1913 bracelet question

Postby Monyettes » Thu Feb 10, 2022 3:38 am

I own a beautiful sterling silver bracelet from Henry Griffith & Sons with the Birmingham hallmark dated 1913. I found some info about HG&S but I would love to know if anyone knows exactly where they had their factory in 1913?

Thank you so much.

Hi,
The firm was active at Warstone Lane, Birmingham at No. 131 in 1903.
In 1919 the firm moved to a new factory in Tachbrook Road, Royal Leamington Spa (Warwickshire).
If your bracelet was dated 1913, I would say it was made at the old address; there is no indication they moved elsewhere before 1919.

They were definitely still located at 131, Warstone Lane in 1916.
