I'd appreciate some help identifying the technique this coffee pot (1st image) was made from and the likely material if possible. I am studying object conservation so I only have a photo, not the coffeepot. I believe it's Britannia metal but there aren't any marks and it could be silver plated (EPBM). Although if it is, it would be a later date than I think, since EPBM wasn't developed until 1840. It's obviously badly tarnished but to me the patina is too dark for silver or even silver plate (if that's possible). I found the exact same pot on Etsy but all nice and shiny (2nd image). The seller described it as EPBM from Sheffield, dated mid 1700s but this doesn't fit. If it is around this date it won't be silver plated.
