Forks only marked B.B

Postby zeplinater » Wed Sep 29, 2021 1:56 pm

I have 6 dinner forks only marked B.B in a rectangular box does anyone know the maker? They look possibly like American coin silver. Sorry I'm not quite sure how to upload images.

Kind regards and thanks.

You might want to get these tested to see what the metal composition is. The pic shows some black marks mixed in with the silver color, and that seems a tad unusual to me. Do they flex at all or are they solid and rigid? The look like coin silver but if you get them tested that will help figure out where they may be made from as different areas used different grades of silver.

If coin it might be:

Barzillia Benjamin

Thank you for your input. One of Barzillia Benjamin's marks does look like a pretty good match.

these look "base-metalish" to me... but testing will tell for sure...
