Left-facing Cannon mark on silver platter

Any idea what this is? The cannon is the only mark on the tray's back.

Thank your this information. Is there any way to know if it is silver-plate or sterling? I have been assuming that if it was Sterling it would have more marks on the back with the cannon. Am I correct in that assumption?

It is silver plated.
Britain has very strict and elaborate hallmarking system of silver; there are no silver marks on the tray.

This cannon trademark is Charles S. Green & Co. - George Wilkin's cannon is different (seen at bottom of second image).
