Ivory and silver tankard

Postby Nyna » Mon Jun 21, 2021 1:44 pm

Hi guys,

Can you help me to identify these marks?
I think that this tankard can be german but maybe I'm wrong.
What do you think about it?

Thank you!

Hi Nyna, welcome to the forum. See Hanau silver Neresheimer

London import mark

Year letters London:

Is there no other mark, like British sponsor/ importer's mark?

Peter.

Thank you Peter.

In your opinion, why is the first mark repeated twice?

As soon as I can, I'll look it more finely to find other marks.

I'll update you.

The gothic N struck twice, without the german national silver mark, the crescent moon & crown mark, perhaps to indicate made for export.

Peter.
