Budapest silversmith PV ?

Postby AG2012 » Tue Mar 16, 2021 10:07 am

Hi,
Very heavy Art Deco cigarette case (box), engine turned and hand engraved, double hinged, cigarette holder tapes silver engraved (unusual to see), possibly meant to stand on table (too heavy for pocket cigarette case).
Budapest after WWI.
Maker PV is unknown to me. Thanks for helping.
Regards

PV was discussed here a few years ago but font was distorted in the meantime:
Állami Pénzverde. Founded in 1922. After the II. W.W. socialized by the rule. Successor of the company is the Metal-art in Budapest.
