At this late date ( without benefit of sales catalogs , phamplets or magazine advertisements ) your piece was crafted sometime prior to 1893. In 1893 the US Government discontinued backing the Greenback with silver. Western Silver mines went bankrupt and closed down. During the depression 1893-1898 all silver companies discontinued quadruple plating of silver items.
