Hallmarks CTB W Tulip NS on forks Nickel Silver

So happy to have found this page! I have 6 forks with hallmarks as seen in photo. I know CTB is Charles Truman (Turman?) and the NS probably means Nickel Silver. But the meaning of the W and the tulip as well as the pattern is a mystery to me. I know these were purchased in London in the 1970s or 1980s. Any help sincerely appreciated. Thank you. Hi,

I've seen that mark attributed to C.T. Burrows & Sons (Charles Turman Burrows) of Birmingham.

The 'W' may be an internal date indicator and the 'Tulip' possibly a trade mark.

The pattern is 'Old English'.

Thanks so much! I know it's hard to tell on a screen but do you think this is just nickel silver or silver plated nickel silver?

From the colouring and the mark it does appear to be un-plated.

I thought so too, it is very pretty but not quite as pretty as silver.
