hi i would like to know who je & ss are and what does ep stand for i have a set of very pretty (12 each) knives and forks with this stamp on they have engraving on the top half and a pearly cream colour on the bottom any ifo please

EP stands for ElectroPlated which means your knives and forks are silverplated. JE&SS sounds like a mark used by Joseph Elliot & Sons, Sheffield, England.
