I have a Dutch Spoon, I can decipher some of the maker's marks, but not all. Can anyone help me figure this out?
It is Silver (0.835 fineness) Bon-Bon Spoon that has been in my family for a very long time. It has open filigree with birds and flowers on the bowl of the spoon. It has an ornate/detailed Dutch three mast Sailing Ship on top of the handle. The Ship has much nicer details than others I've seen for sale or auction. This piece is in very good condition, some minor wear/aging (see details in photos).
The round spoon bowl is roughly 5.5 mm in diameter. The full length of the spoon is 19.5 mm
This piece weighs approximately 59.6 grams.
There is an encircled "G" stamped on the stem, which may indicate the year 1916.
On one side of the rim of the spoon-bowl are several Maker's marks or Hallmarks including the lion and an arabic "2" under it, it has a key with it that means it was designed for import. That side of the spoon also has an "iR" or some symbol proceeding an R, and a 'Crowned' city mark that looks like one vertical line and two horizontal lines creating 6 spaces (?).
On the other side of the spoon bowl there is the word "HOLLAND" and there is an encircled "V.S"
Additionally, on the back of the spoon there are etched the thin letters DRI over a TIX
