Toddy ladle marks

Postby juantotree » Tue Mar 10, 2020 7:44 am

Hi

This silver toddy ladle looks typically Scottish to me, possibly Aberdeen because of the A, but I am struglling with the marks, does anybody recognise them?

Many Thanks
Martin

The makers mark has been punched twice and turned up the other way on the second punching. Can you make out what’s underneath? The A punch too has been struck at an angle possibly it was some letter plus A?

Matt.

Hi Matt

I have posted below a cropped image of the makers mark which basically shows all the detail there is. As for a missing letter before the A, then it could be the case but unfortunately its impossible to tell.
