Unknown Maker's Mark - Probably Italian

Postby LBMT » Tue Mar 03, 2020 9:25 am

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could identify this mark on a silver candle holder. To us it looks like a 'M' and a 'C' intertwined. We suspect it is Italian.

Many thanks!

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

To me, it looks like it may well be one of the marks used by the Milan silversmiths, Messulam.

Trev.
