London 1935 unclear mark

Postby Peartree » Tue Jan 28, 2020 1:52 pm

Hi, can anyone identify / guess at this slightly rubbed makers mark. It is on a very unusual 1935 London silver and enamel bowl.
Thank you
Anthony

Brilliant thank you very much - even if an unexpected and slightly disappointing outcome! Totally unlike their normal work, I wonder if it was for an exhibition. Regards. Anthony

It really is unusual; is it possible that Josiah Williams & Co was in actuality the "sponsor" and not the actual "maker" or the bowl?

Could be. Not sure we will ever know.
