Marrow scoop with very poor pseudo marks

Postby mk209 » Mon Jan 06, 2020 9:18 am

Not sure this is going to be identifiable as all I can make out clearly is the first mark an ‘s’ any ideas?

It occurs to me that the photos suggest the central marked area is in fact cast metal. There may also be an indication of solder lines on either side of the marks. Not suggesting the scoop is not of c 1810-1830 date but a very nice illustration of the importance of getting marks, any marks on items!
