Origin of communion chalice

Can anybody help me identify the origin and maker of this communion chalice?

Hi Martin,

We don't know who they are, or were, at the moment, but they appear to be likely ecclesiastical workers who were registered with the Birmingham Assay Office.

Thanks Trev, I never even thought to look at Birmingham makers, I wonder why there are no assay marks.

If I understand the law correctly, if an item was specifically made to order, and not offered for sale in the UK, then hallmarking is not a requirement.

To be compared with WW I sweetheart British Army regimental and services badges,seldom fully hallmarked, most often only ``sterling``. But probably many of them were made overseas in Canada,Australia...
