Help identifying an old gold ring

Hi All, thank you in advance. I found a wedding ring which I believe belonged to my grandmother who lived in the UK. I was able to identify the gold hallmarks.

This stamp indicates that your item was hallmarked prior to 1975. It is 22 carat gold.
Your item was assayed in Birmingham.
Your item was hallmarked in 1851

I am trying to determine who was the jeweler who created the ring. There is a stamped 'N', then 'JWLT' (the T appears as superscript).

I assume from the way your query is worded that you are quoting a third party with the identification of the hallmark. You have been misinformed. The gold hallmarks for 1851 and 1927 are very similar and yours is 1927. The key to the identification is the maker's mark; If you look carefully I believe that you will see a small D after the T making the mark JWLTD for James Walker Ltd. This company's mark first appeared around 1920. In addition the general form of a mark indicating a limited company (with Ld or Ltd) was not used until the end of the 19th century.
