Identifying Marks

Postby gleenmachine » Sun Oct 15, 2006 12:41 pm

I have a small what appears to be a picher. It's 7 inches tall and 1 1/2 inch round. It's very odd looking but I can't download the picture for to see. On the bottom there are 5 marks in sequence.. 1 a head of some kind .2 is a crown in a heart.3 is a 813H mark . 4 is like a cake with three candles. 5 is H7. Then it's inscribed with the dates 24/12/68. I know its not old but is this pitcher/bud vase/ pourer of some kind.. It's quite cool looking.

Sounds like town mark of Hämeenlinna and maker Kultakeskus Oy again. Kultakeskus Oy used two marks in different years, the 'lion laying down' and 'eagle head'. The H7 is 1961 which you probably found already.

Regards,
Juhana
