Small jug from Berlin?

Postby cathycat » Thu Sep 27, 2018 8:50 am

Hello,

may I please ask again for your help.
I have a small collection of jugs, this is the first of them.
13,5 cm high and 15 cm wide , with handle.

What I found out so far, or at least what I think I found out...:
After turning this a couple of times round I think the hallmark on the right shows a bear with a little K on the side.
Could be from Berlin, the K stands for C.S. Kessner (1819-1854).

Similar item which I found on the internet showed a letter A on the left, the period of B.G.F. Andreack 1819-1842.
Here on my jug there is a B on the left hand side.
Which period might that be?

And the silversmith is called Reifs or Reiß?

Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.

Thank you, @ Theoderich !
First question solved, great !

Do you have any clue about the letter B ? Which period or person it stands for?

Brilliant!! :)

B = Ch. F. Deppe, 1842 — 1847

That matches the others dates perfectly.
Thank you so much for your help. :)

If I am allowed to, I will be back with the second jug soon..
This will be even more difficult, three tiny hallmarks, hardly to recognize and I don't have the slightest idea about age and provenience.
